Hamilton Center, Inc. is a not-for-profit regional behavioral health system in Central and West Central Indiana with corporate offices located in Terre Haute, serving central and west central Indiana. Founded in 1971 and named in honor of Katherine Hamilton, an outspoken advocate for improved mental health care, the organization has grown to include 21 locations across 11 counties, providing the full continuum of mental health and addictions treatment to approximately 13,000 clients annually and employing over 650 staff members including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, therapists, counselors, and care managers. Hamilton Center's mission is to provide quality behavioral healthcare, wellness, and human development services to the community through individualized, trauma-informed, and evidence-based approaches, emphasizing integrated behavioral and primary healthcare, community-based treatment, least restrictive care, and a commitment to serving all individuals regardless of background or ability to pay. The organization offers a broad array of services for children, adolescents, adults, families, pregnant women, military veterans, and formerly incarcerated individuals, including addictions services with specialized opioid treatment through WIN Recovery, adult intensive services such as inpatient and residential care, child and adolescent services with family-focused outpatient and home-based options, crisis diversion, employment support, mental health first aid training, new citizen reentry program, primary care through Grace Clinic, and wraparound care coordination to promote recovery, independence, and overall well-being in a supportive environment.
