LifeSpring Health Systems is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit Community Mental Health Center and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) founded in 1964 as a small outpatient clinic for children in Jeffersonville, Indiana, evolving into the premier provider of comprehensive behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, primary care, and related services across 11 counties in southern Indiana following a 2018 merger with Southern Hills Counseling Center. With a mission 'to improve and sustain the quality of life in our communities by providing comprehensive behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, primary care and related services,' LifeSpring upholds values of serving 'with the highest quality of care, in a professional and fiscally responsible manner.' Employing a team-based approach with physicians, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, nurses, licensed therapists, counselors, and support staff, the organization tailors specific programs for individuals of all ages, including children, families, adults, veterans, the homeless, and underserved populations, ensuring no one is turned away due to inability to pay through a sliding fee scale based on income and family size. Services encompass education, prevention, assessment, intervention, and treatment such as individual and group outpatient therapy, medical and psychiatric evaluations, medication management, crisis stabilization via 24/7 call center and mobile teams, residential recovery programs at facilities like Turning Point Center and Hope Center, school-based health services, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), problem gambling treatment, and patient-centered primary care including prenatal/postpartum care, immunizations, and nutrition education. LifeSpring fosters strong partnerships with medical, social service, educational, governmental, and community entities to deliver the least restrictive, most supportive care, annually serving over 14,000 individuals while promoting recovery, community safety, and holistic well-being regardless of race, color, sex, national origin, disability, religion, age, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
