Volunteers of America Hope Hall

Volunteers of America Ohio and Indiana is a faith-based, non-profit ministry of service with a rich history dating back to 1896, dedicated to helping individuals and families reach their full potential by providing comprehensive human services across 65 program locations in 16 communities throughout Ohio and Indiana. As part of the national Volunteers of America organization, it supports nearly 11,000 people annually, focusing on vulnerable populations including low-income seniors, veterans, homeless individuals and families, men and women returning from incarceration, and those recovering from substance use disorders and mental health challenges. Guided by core values of respect and trust, integrity, ministry of service, creativity, and innovation, the organization employs an evidence-based, trauma-informed approach to deliver innovative programs that integrate physical, behavioral, and supportive care. Key services encompass family-focused residential recovery centers like Fresh Start for pregnant women and mothers with children, men's recovery programs such as Turning Point for those in the criminal justice system, outpatient treatment for substance use and mental health, permanent supportive and transitional housing, veteran-specific initiatives including employment assistance, suicide prevention through the SSG Fox program, and the Cleveland Domiciliary for homeless veterans.
