Edgewater Health is a not-for-profit community health organization founded in 1974 as the Gary Community Mental Health Center, evolving over decades to become a comprehensive provider of integrated physical and behavioral healthcare services in northwest Indiana. With a mission to provide culturally competent, evidence-based care specifically developed for each patient, Edgewater Health treats the whole person by addressing both physical and mental health needs, aiming to improve individual outcomes and create a ripple effect that enhances the quality of life for the entire community. Serving individuals and families of all ages, including underserved populations such as African American and Hispanic communities, the organization offers a wide range of services including primary care, pediatric care through partnerships, mental health counseling, addiction treatment with outpatient and residential options, crisis intervention via the unique Rapid Access Center, on-site pharmacies, and community programs like My Brother's Keeper and My Sister's Keeper to support boys, young men, and girls of color from cradle to career.
