Aware Recovery Care is an innovative healthcare organization founded in 2011 in collaboration with Yale doctors, specializing in in-home addiction treatment for individuals struggling with substance use disorders including alcohol, opioids, and other substances. With a mission to provide personalized, comprehensive, and accessible care that addresses the root causes of addiction while reducing stigma, Aware delivers evidence-based, medically integrated behavioral healthcare directly to clients' homes across 11 states: Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Virginia. Their In-Home Addiction Treatment (IHAT) program, along with virtual detox and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) options, combines physician services, psychotherapy, family education, recovery support, and life skills enhancement in a hybrid model of virtual and in-person visits, allowing clients to maintain their daily lives, work, and family responsibilities during recovery. Led by a passionate team guided by values of compassion, collaboration, connection, commitment, and curiosity, Aware has helped over 7,300 individuals achieve long-term sobriety, boasting impressive outcomes such as 78% abstinence at six months post-treatment, 95% improvement in family relationships, and a 63% program completion rate at 24 weeks—far surpassing industry averages—while fostering ongoing community support through an alumni network.
