Valley Oaks Health is a community-based holistic health care organization providing comprehensive, high-quality mental health, addiction recovery, and primary medical care services to citizens of ten central Indiana counties, including Benton, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Jasper, Montgomery, Newton, Tippecanoe, Warren, and White Counties. With roots tracing back to 1906 as a Seventh-day Adventist institution that evolved into a designated community mental health center (CMHC) in 1975 and rebranded as Valley Oaks Health in 2018, the organization recognizes its role as an integral provider of accessible services to everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, economic status, or insurance status. Guided by the philosophy that good health is a fundamental need and resources for optimal wellbeing are a basic right, Valley Oaks Health offers high-quality, tailored services such as office-based and school-based therapy, group therapy, medication management and assisted treatment, crisis intervention and stabilization, intensive child and adolescent programs, substance use treatment, case management, supervised group living, psychological assessments, child advocacy, and primary medical care including routine exams and early detection, all designed to foster personal growth, problem-solving, community building, hope, and an enriched quality of life in an inclusive environment where individuals feel emotionally and physically safe to be their true selves.
