LifeSpring Health Systems is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit Community Mental Health Center and Federally Qualified Health Center that has been the premier provider of mental health, substance use disorder treatment, and primary care services in southern Indiana since 1964. Beginning as a small outpatient clinic for children in Jeffersonville, Indiana, LifeSpring has grown to serve 11 counties—Clark, Crawford, Dubois, Floyd, Harrison, Jefferson, Orange, Perry, Scott, Spencer, and Washington—operating over 25 facilities and annually supporting more than 14,000 individuals through education, prevention, assessment, intervention, and treatment. Its mission is 'to improve and sustain the quality of life in our communities by providing comprehensive behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, primary care and related services,' guided by the values that 'it is our privilege to serve, with the highest quality of care, in a professional and fiscally responsible manner.' LifeSpring employs a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, nurses, licensed therapists, counselors, care managers, and support personnel, utilizing a patient-centered, holistic, and evidence-based integrated care model to tailor specific programs that treat the whole person. Services encompass individual and group outpatient therapy, medical and psychiatric assessments including medication-assisted treatment, recovery support, crisis stabilization through 24/7 mobile response and residential facilities like the Turning Point Center and Hope Center, school-based health services, veteran support, homelessness initiatives via the PATH program, Employee Assistance Programs, problem gambling treatment, self-management classes, and transportation assistance. Committed to accessibility, LifeSpring ensures no one is turned away due to inability to pay, offering a sliding fee scale based on family size and income, accepting Medicare, Medicaid, and CHIP, and prohibiting discrimination based on race, color, sex, national origin, disability, religion, age, sexual orientation, or gender identity. By fostering strong partnerships with medical communities, social services, schools, justice officials, churches, and organizations, LifeSpring provides the least restrictive, most supportive services to children, families, adults, veterans, the homeless, and underserved populations, empowering recovery, community safety, and a greater quality of life.
