Valley Oaks Health is a community-based organization with over a century of history, originally established in 1906 as a Seventh-day Adventist hospital and evolving into a designated Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) serving ten central Indiana counties: Benton, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Jasper, Montgomery, Newton, Tippecanoe, Warren, and White. As a non-profit provider, it delivers comprehensive, high-quality mental health, addiction recovery, and primary medical care services, championing holistic health accessible to all Hoosiers regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, economic status, or insurance. Guided by the philosophy that good health is a fundamental right, Valley Oaks Health fosters personal growth, problem-solving, and community building through tailored, evidence-based treatments that promote hope and enrich quality of life in an inclusive environment where individuals feel emotionally and physically safe to be themselves. Its wide array of services includes office-based and school-based therapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups; medication-assisted treatment and substance use programs; crisis intervention and stabilization; case management and skills training; psychological assessments; intensive child and adolescent programs like Wraparound and Intensive Case Management; supervised group living; child advocacy; jail-based addiction treatment; and primary care for routine examinations and early detection, all designed to address diverse needs from youth facing behavioral challenges to adults overcoming addiction, ensuring community-wide support for long-term recovery and wellbeing.
