Hamilton Center, Inc. is a not-for-profit regional behavioral health system founded in 1971 and serving central and west central Indiana across 11 counties, with corporate offices in Terre Haute, IN. Named in honor of advocate Katherine Hamilton, the organization has grown from a single outpatient clinic into a comprehensive provider of integrated behavioral and primary healthcare services for over 13,000 clients annually, employing more than 650 staff including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and therapists. Its mission is to provide quality healthcare, wellness, and human development services to the community, guided by a vision of advancing excellence through compassion, customer responsiveness, innovation, and flexibility, while upholding core values such as dignity, respect, least restrictive care, and integrated physical-behavioral health for positive outcomes. Hamilton Center offers a broad array of programs for adults, children, adolescents, and families, including addictions services with medication-assisted treatment like the WIN Recovery opioid program and the certified Matrix Model for outpatient care; adult intensive services such as inpatient stabilization and residential support; child and adolescent services featuring outpatient counseling, home-based family preservation, and intensive programs; crisis diversion with 24/7 access; primary care through Grace Clinic for whole-person wellness; employment solutions to overcome barriers; the New Citizen Program for ex-offenders reintegration; Military Veteran Program for PTSD and reintegration support; Wraparound facilitation for at-risk youth; Healthy Families for early childhood intervention; and community education like Mental Health First Aid.
