What we treat
Treatment & Programs
Levels of Care
Adult and Child Center - Garfield Park Clinic primarily operates an expansive outpatient behavioral health program designed around immediate accessibility. Through their Open Access and Connect to Care walk-in hours, prospective clients can undergo a same-day assessment to begin treatment without making a prior appointment. For those requiring a higher level of daily supervision, an Adult Transitional Living component offers step-up residential support in south Indianapolis.
Therapies
Evidence-based modalities sit at the core of treatment here, with specific practitioners utilizing Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help clients process difficult experiences. The behavioral health continuum also heavily integrates Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for specific dependencies, combining medical prescriptions with ongoing skills development.
Addictions
Clinicians address a spectrum of substance use disorders alongside primary behavioral healthcare. Recognizing that recovery follows a unique timeline, their staff utilizes an integrated model to help clients overcome active addiction and build resilient sober lifestyles.
Conditions
Caregivers here are equipped to support individuals managing both routine life stressors and severe mental illness. Specialized staff offer targeted therapeutic interventions to stabilize anxiety, depression, and trauma, while seamlessly treating complex co-occurring diagnoses under one well-coordinated roof.
Issues
Navigating profound life stressors like homelessness, domestic crisis, or housing insecurity often requires highly specialized intervention. Dedicated outreach groups—such as the Homeless Resource Team and the Wheeler Women's Project—work to stabilize vulnerable individuals, while robust child welfare programs support families currently involved with the Department of Child Services.
Programs
Specialized programming forms the core of Adult and Child Center - Garfield Park Clinic's community impact. Notable initiatives include the Safe Place outreach program for youth in crisis, designated dual diagnosis tracks, High Fidelity Wraparound services for high-risk teens, and the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) initiative.
