Valley Oaks - Lafayette Main Street
Valley Oaks Health is a community-based organization providing comprehensive, high-quality mental health, addiction recovery, and primary medical care services to the citizens of ten central Indiana counties, including Benton, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Jasper, Montgomery, Newton, Tippecanoe, Warren, and White. With roots tracing back to 1906 as a Seventh-day Adventist hospital focused on hydrotherapy and dietary regimens, the organization evolved through mergers and expansions, becoming a designated community mental health center (CMHC) in 1975 and adopting its current name in 2018, while adding primary medical care in 2023 to champion holistic health. Recognizing its role as an integral provider of accessible services to everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, economic status, or insurance, Valley Oaks Health believes good health is a fundamental need and resources for optimal wellbeing are a basic right. Through a philosophy that emphasizes high-quality services fostering personal growth, learning, problem-solving, and community building, the organization strives to create an inclusive environment where all feel emotionally and physically safe to be their true selves, ultimately aiming to foster hope, enrich quality of life, reduce mental health stigma, and help the community overcome addiction.
