Northeastern Center - LaGrange County Outpatient
Northeastern Center is a community mental health center serving northeast Indiana since 1977, with 12 locations across DeKalb, LaGrange, Noble, and Steuben counties, dedicated to helping individuals achieve emotional and mental wholeness through accessible, affordable, and quality behavioral health services. As a non-profit organization accredited by CARF, it provides comprehensive care to people with serious mental illnesses, children and adolescents facing emotional disturbances, families in crisis, and those struggling with substance use disorders, regardless of ability to pay, with a sliding fee scale and acceptance of Medicare, Medicaid, and CHIP. Its philosophy emphasizes hope, recovery, and community reintegration, offering a wide range of evidence-based services including 24/7 crisis intervention via Emergency Solutions and Mobile Crisis Team, inpatient and outpatient therapy, medication management, substance use recovery programs like Intensive Outpatient Treatment, residential services for adults, child and family therapy, wraparound facilitation, school assistance programs, supported employment, telemedicine, the New Hope Clubhouse for social skills and job placement, and community-based living skills training. By prioritizing family voice, collaboration, and strength-based approaches, Northeastern Center empowers its clients— from IV drug users and pregnant women receiving priority treatment to underserved populations—to build resilience, manage symptoms, and lead fulfilling lives in their communities.
