Behind the Wire Ministries

Behind The Wire Ministries is a 501c3 nonprofit organization established by founders Scott & Dannielle Highberger in 2019.

As a level III certified recovery residence in the state of Indiana, it provides a balance of faith and evidence-based treatment to the incarcerated population, offering transitional housing to men upon their release.

Inspired by Scott Highberger's transformative journey from addiction and crime to redemption through Jesus Christ, as chronicled in his book 'Behind The Wire' and the film 'Pardoned by Grace,' the ministry conducts prison events, chapel services, and community activities to foster spiritual growth and recovery.

Through these efforts, Behind The Wire Ministries saves lives, instills hope, and restores relationships, demonstrating that God has a purpose for every life.
