Dunes Fellowship House

3.0 (5 reviews)

The Dunes House has been serving Northwest Indiana since 1972 as a Halfway House for men suffering from the relentless grip of addiction. With ten beds available on a first come, first serve basis, the facility re-introduces residents to the responsibilities of life through structure, accountability, and positive reinforcement. The Dunes House Education and Resident Committees meet weekly with residents to help them realize and achieve new perspectives, while the Entertainment Committee organizes social functions to foster community among those in recovery. Uniquely, it serves as home for over 50% of the AA meetings in Michigan City, immersing residents in the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous and providing access to Narcotics Anonymous meetings on site. The mission of the House is to help further the goals set out by the founders of Alcoholics Anonymous, actively contributing to a convenient and pleasant place to continue the fellowship in A.A., where the primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety.
