The Waters of Muncie Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center is dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services to meet the individualized needs of residents, ranging from short-term rehabilitation stays to long-term care for clinically-complex individuals. Our goal is to ensure families have peace of mind knowing their loved one is safe and in good hands during the transition to our facility. We offer 24-hour skilled nursing, therapies including physical, occupational, and speech, restorative therapy, on-site psychiatric and psychological services, and ongoing dementia and behavioral education. The Memory Springs Alzheimer’s Care Unit provides a unique and holistic approach to caring for residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias at all stages, in a home-like environment where residents are encouraged to participate in tailored activities and live each moment to the fullest, with close coordination and communication with families. Specialized services include comprehensive wound care, respiratory services such as tracheostomy care, oxygen therapy, and sleep apnea management; IV services like hydration and antibiotic therapy; nutritional services with renal, cardiac, and diabetic diets and tube feedings; in-house diagnostics including X-rays, EKGs, ultrasounds, and laboratory services; and pain management with physiatrist services, hospice, palliative care, podiatry, dental, vision, and audiology. Our Respite Care program offers short-term, temporary care to give caregivers a break from daily routines, providing the same level of 24-hour nursing, rehabilitation, social activities, and delicious meals in a secure, supportive atmosphere to relieve stress and prevent burnout. With exceptional dining services designed by a registered dietitian, comfortable amenities like basic cable TV, secure patios, personalization options, and an on-site beauty/barber shop, The Waters of Muncie is committed to helping residents and families live better through compassionate, team-based care.
