LifeSpring Health Systems - New Albany
LifeSpring Health Systems is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit Community Mental Health Center and Federally Qualified Health Center that has been the premier provider of mental health and primary care services in southern Indiana since its founding in 1964 as a small outpatient clinic for children in Jeffersonville. With a mission 'to improve and sustain the quality of life in our communities by providing comprehensive behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, primary care and related services,' LifeSpring embodies the values that 'it is our privilege to serve, with the highest quality of care, in a professional and fiscally responsible manner.' Serving 11 counties across southern Indiana through over 25 facilities and reaching more than 14,000 individuals annually, the organization offers a comprehensive array of services including education, prevention, information, assessment, intervention, and treatment for mental health, addiction, and physical health needs. Utilizing a team approach with physicians, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, counselors, and support staff, LifeSpring tailors specific programs to each individual, ensuring the least restrictive, most supportive services appropriate to their needs. Primary care is patient-centered and holistic, providing evidence-based medicine regardless of ability to pay, while behavioral health services include individual and group therapy, medical assessments, and recovery support. Specialized programs address substance use disorders through facilities like the Recovery Campus, Turning Point Center, and Hope Center, offering residential treatment, crisis stabilization, and integrated outpatient care. LifeSpring nurtures strong partnerships with the medical community, social services, schools, justice officials, churches, and organizations, and operates a sliding fee scale to ensure no one is turned away due to inability to pay, race, color, sex, national origin, disability, religion, age, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Through initiatives like Project CARE for overdose response, school-based health services, veterans support, and homelessness programs such as PATH and Healthcare for the Homeless, LifeSpring commits to comprehensive, accessible care that fosters recovery and community well-being.
