LifeSpring Health Systems is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit Community Mental Health Center founded in 1964 as a small outpatient clinic for children in Jeffersonville, Indiana, and has grown to serve 11 counties across southern Indiana through over 25 facilities, annually supporting more than 14,000 individuals. Its mission is 'to improve and sustain the quality of life in our communities by providing comprehensive behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, primary care and related services,' guided by the values that 'it is our privilege to serve, with the highest quality of care, in a professional and fiscally responsible manner.' As the premier provider of mental health and primary care services, LifeSpring offers a wide array of services including education, prevention, assessment, intervention, and treatment through a team approach involving physicians, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, nurses, licensed therapists, counselors, and support personnel, tailoring specific programs for each individual. Services encompass primary care via patient-centered medical homes, behavioral health through individual and group therapy, recovery services including residential facilities like the Turning Point Center and Hope Center, crisis stabilization, school-based health services, programs for homelessness and veterans, problem gambling treatment, and integrated care for substance use disorders, all delivered in a community-based manner with partnerships across medical, social, educational, and justice sectors to provide the least restrictive, most supportive care. LifeSpring holds Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) status since 2015, ensuring accessible primary healthcare in underserved areas, and operates on a sliding fee scale with no one turned away due to inability to pay, insurance status, or any form of discrimination, promoting holistic, evidence-based treatment for children, families, adults, and vulnerable populations throughout southern Indiana.
