Care Counseling Services

Care Counseling Services, established in 1994, has been providing addiction treatment to the residents of Porter, LaPorte, and Lake Counties in Indiana.

Certified by the State of Indiana Family and Social Services Administration Division of Mental Health and Addictions, the organization's number one goal is to bring addiction treatment to all of Porter County, serving people from Valparaiso, Portage, Hebron, Chesterton, Kouts, South Haven, Porter, and Lake County.

Care Counseling strives every day to help clients find real solutions and confront the suffering caused by substance abuse, enabling them to live the life they want through inspire, educate, and evolve principles.

As a state-certified treatment provider recognized by the courts, Care Counseling offers a range of services including Intensive Outpatient Services for those whose substance use has impacted various life aspects, Educational Services for social/recreational users to learn about addiction factors and self-help groups, Relapse Prevention to build coping skills for ongoing recovery, Recovery Dynamics to teach staying clean and sober via 12-step programs and break recidivism cycles, and Family Groups to recognize abuse effects on families and promote healing and support for long-term sobriety.

Additional services include Individual and Family Counseling, Psychiatric and Medical Referrals, Aftercare Groups, specialty care for Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACOA) and Co-Dependency, and information on self-help groups like A.A. and N.A., with the office serving as a weekend meeting place.
