LifeSpring Health Systems is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit Community Mental Health Center and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) founded in 1964 as a small outpatient clinic for children in Jeffersonville, Indiana, evolving into the premier provider of comprehensive behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, primary care, and related services across 11 counties in southern Indiana following a 2018 merger with Southern Hills Counseling Center.
With a mission 'to improve and sustain the quality of life in our communities by providing comprehensive behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, primary care and related services,' LifeSpring upholds values of serving 'with the highest quality of care, in a professional and fiscally responsible manner.' Employing a team-based approach with physicians, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, nurses, licensed therapists, counselors, and support staff, the organization tailors specific programs for individuals of all ages, including children, families, adults, veterans, the homeless, and underserved populations, ensuring no one is turned away due to inability to pay through a sliding fee scale based on income and family size.
