Rose Garden Recovery Community, formerly known as the Rose Home North, is a not-for-profit ministry whose mission is to transform the lives of women held captive by drug and alcohol addiction by providing a safe and structured Christian community for guiding and equipping individual pursuit of free, sober, and productive living.
Substance Abuse Disorder affects every community, and the organization believes that every person has incredible value because they were created by God, offering redemption and freedom through faith in Jesus.
As a Christian ministry, it holds to the value of each person regardless of background, felonies, or addiction, treating women with respect and love while equipping them with materials to understand their worth in God's eyes.
Open to any woman ready for recovery regardless of personal faith, the program aims to help women remain in recovery as they successfully reunite with family, return to their community, and establish healthy relationships.
Services include a residential Recovery Program in Syracuse, IN, for up to 10 women, featuring on-site staff, peer recovery, partnerships for licensed counseling, a level-based life skills program, on-site classes, communal living, pastoral and faith-based support, and space for children to visit; a Graduate Home for those with 9 months sobriety or program completion, providing sober communal living with on-site support, optional life-skill classes, 12-step meetings, and space for children under 11; non-residential support through the SAS Program for ongoing substance abuse services; and aftercare with connections to local meetings like Celebrate Recovery, NA, and AA.
The homes foster a safe, caring environment where women can recognize their value and potential.
What we treat
Treatment & Programs
Levels of Care
Rose Garden Recovery Community provides a structured step-down continuum, beginning with an up-to-10-bed residential program and transitioning into a Graduate Home for sober living. The Graduate Home is designed for women who have achieved nine months of sobriety or completed a primary program, offering a communal environment as they transition back to independent living. Non-residential ongoing support and aftercare connections are also available to help clients maintain long-term recovery.
Therapies
The structural framework relies heavily on peer recovery and a level-based curriculum designed to build practical life skills. Residents also engage in psychoeducation through on-site classes, pastoral support, and case management, while licensed counseling is provided exclusively through off-site community partnerships.
Addictions
The ministry focuses on helping women who are held captive by drug and alcohol addiction. Rather than offering medical detox, they provide long-term residential and communal support for those ready to overcome substance use and embrace sober, productive living.
Conditions
While primary care centers around Substance Abuse Disorder, the environment at Rose Garden Recovery Community supports broader emotional and spiritual healing. Off-site partnerships provide access to licensed counseling to address any underlying mental health needs alongside the primary recovery journey.
Issues
Beyond achieving sobriety, women are guided through immense life transitions, from navigating family reunification to building a sober social network. The program actively supports women working to establish healthy relationships and seamlessly return to their communities as productive, confident individuals regardless of past felonies or backgrounds.
Programs
As a not-for-profit Christian ministry, the core philosophy is rooted in the belief that every person has incredible value because they were created by God. Though the curriculum features robust faith-based and pastoral support, the recovery program welcomes any woman ready for the journey, never forcing personal agreement with their religious beliefs.
On-site
Amenities
Communal living is at the heart of the experience across both Syracuse properties, fostering deep friendships in a safe, home-like setting. The environments are intentionally designed with families in mind, providing dedicated space for children to visit on Sundays during the primary program and allowing children under eleven to live with their mothers in the Graduate Home.
